The Finish Line

Far from the gaze in a distant future
Stood my destination.
A feeble picture of my goal
That set me in Motion.

None could reason my determination as a bull
No other felt that magnetic pull.
My eyes they felt were wild
My heart was still a child.
My dreams; territory unheard unseen
Crowd felt nothing elegant in my genes.

I continued my voyage
Determination invisible to herd mentality
Small steps tracing long secluded path
Until engraved a niche for my creativity.

Today they who didn’t want me near
Fearing waste of time.
Stand in queues for a glimpse
While I stand on the other side of
The Finish Line.
