Cold

I am in general a strong person and take things in head on.  However one thing that gets the better of me is cold or flu. Right now I am suffering from severe cold and high fever. It sort of takes away the life from our body.

As if we are at the mercy of this merciless  miscreant. Panic strikes for  the cells of our body lose their zest to fight back this four letter common cold.
I read somewhere that it is the most widespread disease though often not taken as seriously.

Have you ever suffered from a bout of cold that made you feel helpless?

P. S - As I used my phone for publishing the post I may not be able to comment on your blog posts but will try and be there soon!

Bound by Love

She remembered nothing except for a trip down to her hometown some fifty years back; a trip that changed her life forever as it was here that she fell madly in love with him.

Since their marriage until a month ago every day around midnight, she would play the same piece of music on that piano much to the annoyance of the neighbours.

Ode to Scarcity

Sweat covered her head to toe
Darkness
Bad omen was in store

Cold hands tried to drown her
Deep waters
She could see no shore

Back

Who is back here?

Well, my coming back to ABC-W after an incomplete round is no big deal. ABC-W round 18 is back and another chance is here to make it through the end. The second letter for ABC-W week two is B and I am playing with word BACK!

Old English bæc, of Germanic origin; related to Middle Dutch and Old Norse bak. The adverb use dates from late Middle English and is a shortening of aback.

Attitude

Source
Thinking myself imperfect, I tried to impress people who talked behind my back.

Lame excuses poured to satisfy their fancy heads.

Little I realized how harrowing the heart found it as I kept on stabbing my soul trying to reinvent myself.

Until one day when, the mirror showed me the true world for I felt someone else was looking back at me as I stared at my reflection.
