This time i have these digitally created berries. Don't ask the name as I just picked colours and tried blending to get a fruit. If you find any resemblance to any do share. 🙂 I am loving this tiring drawing style at the moment. Lets see what happens next... As for todays Quote "Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.” ―Theodore Roosevelt.

Monochrome Moments #01

Image
I sit for a few minutes and free write. So sometimes, it mat make sense while at times it may appear clueless rambling. Do bear and enjoy !! 🤣🤣 It has been a while since I put something on my blog, well actually almost three years. Now, that life has picked up momentum, I am back too. Thankful and happy to be in the present. This black and white work is painted on Microsoft paint. It was quite tiring as I use a mouse but I kind of love the end result. Sometimes I feel that things look nice even without finesse and the black and white gives more warmth to a photo or picture which is otherwise not so visible because of the vibrant colours. Summer

Waited so long for the snow to pass,  Alas, the unbearable heat overshadows  the bright, shiny days I wished for. Oh! Summer.

Forever...

Image
F   is for 'Forever' Photo prompt -Ted Strutz “Papa this is my car. Never sell it… I’ll take it to the college,” said little He. I knew it was not a possibility but never thought they would strip me of my glory. Little you used to ride with me; I heard your first Gibberish. You spent each day with me until a few years back and now you’ll abandon me, I wanted to say as they started pulling me. A voice caught my attention – “Papa this is my car. Never sell it… let it stay in the backyard please,” said ‘his’ little ‘she’.  Guess I’ll stay forever. ................................................................................................................................ Painful Humor

Image
“Honey, do you see those duct tapes there? Well, I patched up the door; that naughty thing hurt itself after bumping into me yesterday night. A compassionate man, I fixed the ugly scratches and bruises,” said Adam boastfully when he saw his wife transfixed by the door after seeing his work.  CREDIT

Not, Just a Jar

Courtesy “Colors turned my monochrome living into a Vibgyor, the chits made me believe in me and the jar helped me believe that there is more to life than what meets the eye,” Dia told the reporter. The journalist sat enthralled by the petite lady who beat death at its game and survived the odds to share her story with the world.

All In the Heart

Image
A is for Ache Photo by Free-Photo at Pixabay.com He understood why they say 'love is blind' for there she had a warm smile for the ordinary green while the exquisite and bright member of the species felt neglected.  He sat on the edge, gazing at her beauty while she ignored him like always. So has the heart ever made you feel vulnerable? Is the love really blind or is it a case of one-sided affection?  Inspiration : Twittering Tales Linking to : ABC-W

New Beginnings - #MondayMusings

Image
B is for beginnings... A quote I read and loved - "We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves." Life is an empty notebook where I inscribe and illustrate my journey, certain pages come out vibrant whereas others are lacklustre. Each page has a new font, colour, alignment. Creating a fresh start on a new page is possible but changing the notebook is not possible. Not that I wish to change mine but sometimes when the emotions start blackmailing and the grass appears greener on the other side, this notion just pops up.   I have learned quite a bit over the years and am more liberal to choose my stationery, I am more into creating my original craft, filling in colour that appeals to me at that moment. I just create and let myself enjoy each moment . Photo Credit -pixabay

Scent of Hope

Image
“Mamma is Santa visiting us this year?” asked little Rosy. “Maybe”, answered her mother while she was busy sewing the red cloth. All this while Rosy sat there dreaming about the ‘man in red’ who visited every child in the world except her, the reindeers who could light up her home, only if they paid her a short visit, about the gifts that she had so longed for since he left a void in their lives.

Reality Versus Fantasy

The World beckoned for a visit, but here he lay trapped in shackles, bound to the virtual reality.  Copyright –  Douglas M. MacIlroy His passion longed for his touch but he seemed more attracted to the greenery on the other side of the screen than the garden that lay in front of him.

Longing to hear – The swish of breeze, Music of dancing trees, The gong of a temple from far Spare me- Please, no more of the fancy cars. Searching for the giggles while Children play, Gadgets or gizmos have taken The childhood away. Lost is the voice of a friend, Tapping the QWERTY - The new music in trend. Shattered Pieces

Source Each anniversary a surprise would wait for her and he somehow made his gifts unique often leaving her wondering ‘if everything was real’ . This time, they were seven seas apart and she could feel his pangs of this separation; “ His face is a mirror of his true feelings ,” she said to herself. There Skype conversation made her uneasy as her commitments kept her away from him.         ........................................................................................................................................................... She  unlocked the door softly and as the minute hand touched twelve she screamed at the top of her voice “ SURPRISE! ” His silhouette was visible on the couch. “ No, ” she realized; there were two. source Aug 4th:  Caught red-handed ALSO,  Linking up with  Uncharted Blog  and  Six Sentence Stories , where the cue word is Minute.

Order,order!

Image
"I Guess it was him. Yes, it had to be him as yesterday he had said he would give a call," She mumbled, as the thoughts about their blind date flooded her vision. The connection was weak and from what she could make out, he said," will be at the doorstep by seven and ..," something about her odour." They were meeting and she had to be her fragrant best was all she cared about.  She got busy asking friends about fragrances to make it an evening to remember; still, something seemed amiss to her. Ready by 6.45 she waited for him; peeping through the window, pacing across the room, sitting down  to start the ritual again after a minute. Sharp at seven the bell rang, making her heart thump severely and when she opened the door with a  perfect smile on her lips, a hand holding a box stretched towards her; "Ma'am, your order  and kindly pay in cash." Gratitude

Image
Source "As Time Flies" There are times when someone tries to guide us but we feel as though we are under scrutiny. As long as the person is not harsh or negative we should be happy to have a friend like that. Who has time to rectify things in this busy world? At least, I consider such well-wishers around me as my friends. All my friends in this virtual world who have guided me some time or rectified a mistake I thank them today. Do you stop to thank that person who picks up scattered things for you while you are juggling with your shopping bags or you just gather your things, turn around, and walk away? Most of us would go with the former, right. I have come across people who ignore the helping hands as if they do not exist. Well, dear friend, you may be on this side of the fence but some day you might be on the other side and maybe then, you will understand how it feels. The worth of anything is realized only when it is not there with us. Showing gratitude does no...

Eternal

Image
photo by Caroline Knopf This week the letter is 'E' and I dabble in the Fiction. Open to critiques! While she stood by the waters, the silence echoed the story of her life. After five years of companionship that faced the turbulences of life to triumph over the enemy and the soul, he ditched her for death. The dove-eyed lass with a feeble body took over the reigns of the sea and the cause of the people – his people and now her children. The longing for him never left her but the love he had bestowed upon her during that short spell proved deeper than the sea. His body had left her 25 years ago but the soul he left behind for her – his eternal love. Linking to Mag 305
